When reading tarot cards you will come across 4 suits. These suits are the suits of Wands, Swords, Cups
and Pentacles. These suits represent the four elements of Earth, Air, Fire and Water which are the building blocks of life.
Wands
The suit of Wands corresponds to the element of Fire. Fire indicates the masculine or yang energy - growth, inspiration and personal power.
When wands appear in a reading it usually means that there is some sort of action going on. This could be a new adventure or something that
requires you to be courageous.
Swords
Swords correspond to the element of Air. Air is also a masculine/yang force. When Swords turn up in a reading it usually has to do with the use of
communication skills or with the use of your mind. You may need to put your mind to something or you may be need to communicate better to
achieve your goals. It could also indicate that you need to relax because you are using your mind too much or you are being over vocal. The

Cups
Cups correspond to the element of Water. Water is a feminine on yin element and relates to emotions, creativity and intuition. The Cups usually

or negative aspects.
Pentacles
Pentacles corrspond to the Earth element. The Pentacles are a feminine or yin element and relates to wealth, security and stability. Pentacles
represent things to do with the material world such as money and resources. Pentacles also relate to matters of the body such as health matters.
When Pentacles appear in a reading it indicates that material matters or health issues are at the forefront of your mind.
